Cattery - What we offer
Our cattery buildings are dual purpose built buildings comprising of full central heating throughout for those cold winter nights and secure doors that open up for those lovely warm summer days.
The cattery is set in its own private grounds looking out onto lovely gardens, offering a peaceful setting for all of our guests.
We have luxury accommodation suites suitable for 1 or 2 cats and family suites available for more than 2 cats.
All suites include sleeping areas, scratching posts and toys and we supply bedding for all cats, but you are also welcome to bring along your own cats bedding for extra comfort during their stay with us.
All of our residents are given individual playtime and exercise daily. We feel this is very important to our furry guests as this helps them have a more enjoyable and fun stay with us at Highmead.
Your cats will also see the same face everyday which helps them feel settled in the cattery environment whilst they are away from home.
Meals are provided at set regular times which helps them to settle into a routine. We provide a large range of foods for our guests needs, so if you have a fussy friend let us know and we will aim to provide them with their favourite food.
What we need to know from you
The health of your cat at the time of boarding.
For cats on medication we ask that we are made aware at the point of booking in order that we can administer all prescriptions according to your cats medical requirements.
All cats need to be inoculated against feline Influenza and Enteritis to board in any cattery. This requirement is in place for the wellbeing of your cat and other boarders during their stay.
Please note we will need to see your vaccination cards on arrival at the cattery each time you board.
At the point of booking we will also require full details of your Veterinary surgery in case of an emergency.
If a cat requires veterinary treatment whilst boarding, he/she will be taken to your own vets. Although where this is not possible they will be taken to our own vet for the required treatment.
The veterinary costs will be covered by Petplan, although any existing conditions that generate costs will need to be settled by the owner.
Viewings are between opening hours, all we ask is for a short telephone call before your arrival to highmead.
